The St. Louis Regional Chapter serves the St. Louis metropolitan region and welcomes grant professionals from Missouri and Illinois beyond the metro area. As part of a national professional membership organization, we enthusiastically support the mission to build and support an international community of grant professionals committed to serving the greater public good by practicing the highest ethical and professional standards.  Our members represent every level and every sector of the grants field.

Membership in the local chapter is open to any individual who is a National member who has an interest in and commitment to the grants profession. Our Chapter dues, which are separate from the National Membership fee, are $25. Chapter members receive special benefits such as reduced meeting fees, access to special information on the Chapter's website, and are eligible to participate in an annual competition for a scholarship to the GPA National Conference.

The chapter’s Program Committee plans and implements programs that inform and enhance the performance of grant professionals. Our program and networking meetings are open to both GPA members and others and are generally held February through May and September through December.  Programs consist of educational presentations of interest to anyone interested in the grants and fund development field. Our objective is to provide relevant, practical programs that offer expert instruction and encourage meaningful peer interaction.

Attendees at our meetings come from a wide range of types of organizations including colleges and universities, social services, job training, local governments, independent consultants, and more (including both major institutions and small nonprofits). Meetings are typically held at the Network for Strong Communities (NSC) - 8764 Manchester Road (corner of Brentwood and Manchester Rds), 2nd floor, St. Louis, MO 63144.

The Chapter hosts a professional development conference at NSC each summer, and partners with other local organizations that serve non-profits, such as the Association of Fundraising Professionals, to support additional professional development activities. The Grant Professionals Association also sponsors a Grant Professional Certification (GPC), program that measures an individual’s ability to provide quality grant-related services within an ethical framework.
