Board Elections
The process to elect the 2021 GPA Board of Directors has begun!

There are four open positions on the GPA Board of Directors that will be available on January 1, 2021.

Three postions are for three-year terms that begin on January 1, 2021, and end on December 21, 2023. Current board members whose term ends on December 31, 2020 are Bonnie Houk, Cheryl Kester, and Johna Rodgers. All three are eligible to serve an additional three-year term on the GPA Board of Directors.

The fourth position is for a one-year term beginning January 1, 2021, and ending December 31, 2021. This position is open due to the resignation of current GPA board member Sue Jetter effective on December 31, 2020.

The board positions will be filled by the candidates who receive the greatest number of votes during the board election. The positions will be filled starting with the three-year terms down to the one-year term. The individual who serves the one year term may be elgibile to serve two additional terms per GPA's bylaws.

July 24, 2020Nominees will be notified and asked to complete a Nomination Acceptance Questionnaire, attach any necessary documents, and indicate acceptance of the nomination. 
August 7, 2020 at  5:00 PM (CDT)Deadline for submitting the Nomination Acceptance Questionnaire and necessary documents.
August 10 - August 14, 2020Nominating Committee will review the information and determine which candidates have met the qualifications and will be included in the slate of candidates
August 17, 2020All nominees will be notified of their status
August 17, 2020A full list of Candidates will be presented to the GPA Board
August 18, 2020

October 20, 2020Announcement of election results will be made to the full membership via GPA's electronic mail platform in the weekly newsletter. Candidates will be informed, confidentially in writing, the results of their candidacy prior to the public announcement
November 8, 2019Announcement of election results and Oath of Office taken at the Annual Meeting
November 6, 2020Motion to Destroy Ballots made at the Annual Meeting.
November 9, 2020Final date to submit a written challenge of the election results. After November 9, 2020, if there are no outstanding challenges, the ballots will be permanently destroyed and no further challenge is allowed.
