Discover how to use data.census.gov, the new site to access Census Bureau data. Data.census.gov is the new platform to access demographic and economic data from the U.S. Census Bureau. This platform is now the search that takes over census.gov to allow users a single place to seamlessly access data and digital content from the Census Bureau. You can access data.census.gov as the central hub for your data needs. In this webinar, you will learn how to access tables, maps, and profiles using multiple search methods. The webinar will also share tips and tricks and demonstrate how to download data, customize your table view, and share your results. Speaker: Tim Sarko, Data Dissemination Specialist of the US Census Bureau Bio: Mr. Sarko has worked for the U.S. Census Bureau for the past 25 years. He is currently a Data Dissemination Specialist (DDS). Mr. Sarko currently lives and works in the Columbus, Ohio area and covers all of Ohio. He started in his current position as a DDS in 2011. Before that, he worked as a Supervisory Statistician for the Census Bureau's Charlotte Regional Office since 1995. He supervised almost all of the surveys conducted by the Census Bureau. Mr. Sarko grew up in Cleveland, OH and attended The Ohio State University. He has a B.S. & M.S. degree (Genetics). This session matches the following GPC Competencies: Competency #3: Knowledge of strategies for effective program and project design and development Competency #4: Knowledge of how to craft, construct, and submit an effective grant application Meeting cost is free.
