The Mohawk Hudson Chapter of AAGP began in 2006, thanks to the inspiration of Brigitte Koziol. As an experienced grant writer, Brigitte knew the value of networking with her peers and meeting face-to-face to share ideas and concerns and develop friendships with colleagues. Working with The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, Brigitte reached out to other grant writers in the area, many of whom shared Brigitte's desire to forge professional relationships with others in the field.
Those interested parties became the chapter's founding members, and slowly we built the infrastructure needed to form an official AAGP chapter. Today, most of the initial members are still active, although a few have had to reduce their levels of participation due to job changes.
Our chapter is now 30-strong and growing. We look forward to continued work together as we grow from our shared experiences.
