Vision

The West Central Florida Chapter is an energetic group of grant professionals engaged with each other in bringing our grant-seeking and grants management to the highest level of professionalism and ethics.  We recognize each other as experts, share information, help each other address tough issues in our work and engage in the mutual goal of bringing a high level of excellent grant activity to west central Florida.

Mission

The mission of the AAGP West Central Florida Chapter is to promote and assist the regional grants community in professional advancement, exchange information about resources for obtaining and managing grants, help to increase grant activity in the area, and promote the highest level of standards of practice and ethics among our members and others with whom we work.

Goals

Our goals are to:

• Develop and establish a mentoring program.
• Ensure that our meetings offer well qualified speakers on topics pertaining to grant development, grant and office management, and related topics.
• Increase knowledge among our members on how to locate and identify opportunities for grants and other financial resources.
• Increase skill among our members in developing proposals and obtaining grants and other financial resources.
• Communicate rapidly to share grant and fundraising information and resources.
• Develop member forums to share excellent practices, successful initiatives, and new trends related to funding.
• Increase membership in our chapter, raise visibility, and increase recognition of the organization.
• Encourage each of our members to obtain the GPC credential.
• Have at least half of our members GPC-credentialed by the end of 2010
