Minutes of the Charter Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 1:03 p.m. by AAGP California Statewide Respresentative, Ann Ronan. Following a round of introductions by those present and attending by teleconference, Marie Beichert presented a summary of the results of the Northern California Member Survey.

 

By Laws: Ann Ronan reviewed the Chapter By Laws and following discussion, it was agreed that both membership and Board meetings would be set as quarterly with time to be determined by member survey. The By Laws were accepted unanimously.

 

Dues: Dues were set at $75 per year.

 

Election of Officers:  The Chapter Planning Committee submitted a slate of officers for consideration and nominations were opened to the floor. The following officers were elected to serve for one year:

·         President – Marie Beichert

·         Vice President – Scott Biedermann

·         Secretary – Denise Bradley

·         Treasurer – Kathleen Greely

The By Laws were signed by Secretary Denise Bradley. The Chapter Charter application was signed by those present. The Chapter Charter application will be forwarded to teleconference attendees for signature and returned for submission to the national office. An invoice for Chapter dues will be circulated. The next meeting will coincide with the schedule of Gail Vertz, AAGP Executive Director, who will be in San Francisco for a conference from November 19 through the 22nd. Following announcements, the meeting was adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
