The St. Louis Regional Chapter serves the St. Louis metropolitan region and welcomes grant professionals from Missouri and Illinois beyond the metro area. It is a part of a national professional membership organization with a mission to build and support an international community of grant professionals committed to serving the greater public good by practicing the highest ethical and professional standards. GPA members represent every level and every sector of the grants field. Membership is open to any individual with an interest in and commitment to the grants profession.

The chapter’s bi-monthly program and networking meetings are open to both GPA members and others. Members and program attendees come from a wide range of types of organizations including colleges and universities, social services, job training, local governments, independent consultants, and more, including both major institutions and small nonprofits.

The chapter’s Program Committee plans and implements programs that inform and enhance the performance of grant professionals in the St.   Louis region. They include educational presentations of interest to anyone interested in the grants and fund development field. Our objective is to provide relevant, practical programs that offer expert instruction and encourage meaningful peer interaction. These meetings are held at Central Reformed Congregation, Central Reform Congregation - 5020 Waterman (at Kingshighway) in the Central West End at 11:30 a.m.

The Chapter also joins with other organizations such as the Association of Fund Raising Professionals to host professional education/development conferences and seminars of interest to both individuals and non-profit organizations. The Grant Professionals Association also sponsors a Grant Professional Certification (GPC), program that measures an individual’s ability to provide quality grant-related services within an ethical framework.
